~My husband and I had the great pleasure of eating at Piro Pizzeria. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant itself is very welcoming. There are warm, red walls and ample sized wooden tables. Once you taste the food you will be glad that the table offers lots of space.
We started with a house salad. That title is va...
stly inadequate. The salad was a base of crisp, chilled lettuce generously topped with onion, tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, pepperoncini, black olives and cheese. There are several dressing options but don’t think twice about it --- order the Piro’s House dressing. It is made in house and is delicious. You can thank me for the tip later.
My husband ordered the Stromboli and it arrived at the table golden brown and over stuffed with pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham, peppers, onions and mozzarella. On the side was a dish of the most delectable marinara sauce.
I ordered a small white pizza. The crust was crisp on the outside, chewy on the inside and just the right thickness. The blend of mozzarella and ricotta was perfectly seasoned and topped with fresh basil.
Needless to say, we ended up leaving with full stomachs and to go boxes filled with enough for lunch the following day.
I’m already planning another visit. Several girlfriends and I are going next week for lunch. Now the only decision is should I try one of the sandwiches, a calzone or perhaps the pasta??

~My friends and gather for dinner every Tuesday and for the fourth time (for the group-only my 3rd time), we had dinner there last night. So far I've only had the pizza but it is WONDERFUL. I love everything about it - the crispy yet tender crust, the flavorful sauce and quality toppings. Extra cheese makes it perfect, and it's REAL...
LY good cheese. There is a nice selection of toppings and specialty pizzas to choose from. One thing I would like to see if a "supreme" pizza (other than the meat supreme). Maybe pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions & banana peppers or something similar. I do like the flat price "create your own" option with 4 toppings though.
My friends have also enjoyed the Calzones, stromboli and spinach salad - they all look really good. I will probably try a calzone next time.
The restaurant is large and well lit, with high ceilings. The decor is attractive. The service is fast and friendly. And the owner is a delight. She always remembers us and stops by to say hello.
Piro Pizzeria is now one of my favorite restaurants and I will continue to visit on a regular basis.

~We started with the basics so we could get a taste of the food kinda on ground level if you will.
Salad and a few slices of plain old cheese pizza.
Price: Average for this type of fair.
Salad:
Fresh crisp ingredients and tasty dressing (I had French)
My salad was the chef and it was big enough to share if you were having pizza or something else with it, or a meal by itself if not.
The crust:
Thin, yet not cracker like and with a nice yeast bite in the background.
The sauce:
Medium paste consistency, not thin, not thick, just right.
It was sweet and lightly seasoned, but still had a tartness and plenty of tomato flavor.
The cheese:
Real cheese, ample covering.
I think and hope these folks go far around here. We were in need of a "by the slice" option.
The food is very good and the owner is quite a sweetie, as well as easy on the eyes ;)
